Designation: Backpack with Launcher Carrier – MANPADS GROM / PIORUN Compatible

Role: Load-Carrying System for MANPADS Operator

1. PURPOSE & APPLICATION

Integrated transport system enabling the MANPADS operator to carry personal combat load, Portable Anti-Aircraft Missile System (PPZR GROM/PIORUN), and Short-Range Interrogator (IKZ) in a secure, ergonomic, and combat-ready configuration. Designed for rapid deployment, sustained operations, and modular mission-specific configuration.

2. SYSTEM CONFIGURATION

2.1 Primary Components

1. Launcher Carrier Platform: Frame with adjustable shoulder harness and padded load-bearing waist belt.
2. Transport Rucksack: 65 L capacity, detachable from carrier platform.
3. Launcher Cradle: Detachable mount for missile tube with protective padding.

2.2 Secondary Components

1. Protective elements for launcher body.
2. Integrated MOLLE/PALS webbing for modular expansion (front, sides, lid).
3. Quick-release harness adjustment system.

3. AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT

1. Rain Cover: Waterproof, lightweight; stowed in double-bottom compartment; covers both pack and launcher.
2. Helmet Retention System: Mounts helmet externally to pack.
3. Launcher–Platform Stabilization Link: Connects launcher cradle to platform; allows rapid connect/disconnect.

Dedicated Mission Pouches (5 mm foam padding, MOLLE/PALS mountable):

1. Power Supply Pouch – for spare MANPADS battery & spare IKZ battery (left-side mount).
2. Antenna Pouch – for IKZ antenna (right-side mount).
3. Trigger Mechanism Pouch – front-mount option.
4. IKZ Pouch – flap window for cable routing to launcher; mounts on top flap.
